Data protection

Under Article 13 of the Federal Constitution and the provisions of federal data protection legislation, every person has the right to privacy and to be protected against the misuse of their personal data. The federal authorities comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is not sold or passed on to third parties.

In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect the databases from unauthorised access, data loss, misuse or falsification.

When you access our websites, the following data is stored in log files: IP address, date, time, browser request and general information on the operating system and browser.

This usage data forms the basis for statistical, anonymous evaluations for the purpose of identifying trends that will allow the federal authorities to improve the information on offer. Under the Federal Act on the Surveillance of Postal and Telecommunications Traffic (SPTA), there is a statutory duty to store data on all communications made in the past six months.

When you choose to make contact with us, your email address will be stored in a separate database which is not linked to the anonymous log files. You may delete your registration at any time.
